Natural Eczema Remedies for You or Your Baby

It seems like every other day I get asked for natural remedies for baby eczema, but I know plenty of adults who have to deal with it as well, so I did some research to help my people get some relief.

Prevention
1.    Do not wash yours or most importantly your baby's clothes with regular detergent
Regular laundry detergent carries harsh chemicals that irritates the skin. Use a fragrance-free and dye free laundry detergent. Consider hand-washing clothes in a sink if your baby has eczema. You also do not want to wash your baby's clothes with everyone else's laundry
2.    In the winter time, use a humidifier in your bedroom or in your baby's bedroom to keep your skin moist
3.    In the summer time, try not to sweat too much
Sweat can agitate the skin, so use an air conditioner when possible

Remedies
1.    Oatmeal Bath
Ground oatmeal is very soothing to itchy skin. The best kind of oatmeal is colloidal. You can either buy it from a convenience store or you can buy regular oatmeal, NOT INSTANT and grind it in a blender until it is powdery enough to dissolve in a tub of lukewarm water
2.    Seal In Moisture
After you bathe, you need to need to use a cream based moisturizer not water. Jamaican Black Castor Oil is very effective at penetrating the skin to deeply moisturize
3.    Eat Fatty Acids
Fatty acids like omega-3s can be helpful in reducing allergic reactions and inflammation, so chow down on some avocados, salmon, and tuna and break out that nut cracker for some walnuts
4.    Put Gloves on Those Hands
People with eczema tend to scratch themselves at night, so put cotton gloves on your hands and if you have a child with eczema and can't find cotton gloves or mittens, throw socks on your hands
